It is also a reminder to be patient. To collect things over time. Nothing is worse than seeing a magazine spread where everything can be identified from the latest set of catalogues (actually probably says something about the amount of time I spend reading said catalogues!).

INSPIRATION: MARLENE BIRGER
A year or so ago, my sister gave me this lovely book; Life and Work: Marlene Birger's Life in Pictures. It has been a huge source of inspiration. Her style using a mix of vintages, organic materials with a largely neutral colour palette really appeals. I find myself going back to it if I flirt with too much of any one thing - colour, style, era etc. Like me, she also has some collections of "green things" - see third picture down.
It is also a reminder to be patient. To collect things over time. Nothing is worse than seeing a magazine spread where everything can be identified from the latest set of catalogues (actually probably says something about the amount of time I spend reading said catalogues!).
