Concious that its been many weeks since the last post. So here's a summary of the events of the last two months. More accurately referred to as the relocation months!
1. Easter - took my new camera to Merricks North on Mornington Peninsula where S.P.'s family have a home and practised using it. Should have practised uploading them because somehow wiped the memory card and lost all the shots in the process!
2. Brisbane, London, Milan - quick trip for family wedding, work and drop in on a friend in Milan on the way home. It was my third trip to Milan to visit my friend and I spent two very happy days and one night just hanging out with her and people watching (with a little shopping on the side).
3. Packing and Unpacking - one mega weekend of packing and organising and another mega weekend of unpacking and re-organising. We now have everything inside and are rattling around in the New Home.
4. Setting In - Despite many weeks of freak-outs about leaving the old hood, I am really enjoying being in a new part of town. The Orange Grove farmers markets are fantastic (and have resulted in investment in shopping cart), and we have found a couple of great cafes, good Japanese, plus a small bar which we have yet to try. The park is lovely and I always get a seat on the bus in the morning! So far so good.
5. Projects - Now back to the "To Do" list. So far I have been focused on the essentials - Warmth in the form of three sisal rugs (2x Ikea's Tarnby and one large one on sale at Natural Floor Covering Centre) and two natural gas heaters and - Organisation in the form of a kitchen bin, laundry shelves (thanks Mr B!), drawer organisers, washing line and storage boxes.
Let the fun begin.....
