Painting the woodwork takes for-ev-er. We were relegated to a diet of pad thai - SP loved this, me not so much!
After testing a couple of colours, including a pale green / grey, decided to go with Dulux Shoji White (100% this time) for the kitchen cabinets. Hopefully will show less dirt than stark white. Handles are oiled bronze joinery handles from Mother of Pearl Trading - matching drawer pulls were purchased for the three drawers.
The superfluous stained glass door has been removed from the hallway. Mr B spent Father's Day weekend working hard (yes, should be the other way around) and constructed a new door frame to cover the old hinges.
Mr B also removed the fiddly cupboards & shelves around the kitchen window. Everyone thought I was a bit mad, but did admit I was right once they were down. It opens up the window completely. The black granite splash back was finished off with some wooden capping which will get painted.
